Perceptions In Color
This series is an exploration into the concept of color psychology and its power to evoke emotion and create atmosphere. By using a combination of bold, vibrant hues and subtle, muted tones, I seek to tap into the viewer’s subconscious and elicit a visceral response. Each painting is a study in the way color can influence mood, perception, and even physical sensations.
I am fascinated by the way different colors can affect our brains and bodies on a psychological level. For example, red is often associated with passion and energy, while blue is calming and serene.
By carefully selecting and arranging colors within my composition, I aim to create a visual experience that is both stimulating and emotionally evocative.
Through my work I hope to challenge viewers to consider the ways in which color impacts their perception of the world around them. By delving into the rich, complex world of color psychology, I seek to create paintings that spark curiosity, introspection, and a deeper understanding of the ways in which we are influenced by our visual surroundings.
This series like all my work is on going and will be added to periodically.
These paintings are created using oil paint on stretched canvas or linen paper.
