This piece is part of my Perceptions in Color series that is an exploration into the concept of color psychology and its power to evoke emotion and create atmosphere. By using a combination of bold, vibrant hues and subtle, muted tones, I seek to tap into the viewer’s subconscious and elicit a visceral response. Each painting is a study in the way color can influence mood, perception, and even physical sensation.

I have chosen to create this piece entirely in metal and utilized acrylic paint to achieve the color. I’m attempting to meld my Liminal and Perceptions in Color series. I’m also intrigued by the reflective surface of the metal that acts like a mirror bringing the viewer into the piece.

With this piece I have chosen to create it entirely in metal and utilized acrylic paint to achieve the color. I’m attempting to meld my Liminal and Perceptions in Color series. I’m intrigued that the reflective surface of the metal acts like a mirror bringing the viewer into the piece.

The piece measures 4.75” x 5.25” x 1”

This piece is an exploration of the physical and metaphysical. It is about transcending normal limits. As human beings we often feel compelled to live our lives within predetermined boundaries and limitations. Some never question why these limitations exist but others are always testing boundaries and asking why. This piece is a physical representation and a reminder that those with the courage to live outside the norm are often the ones that perceive the world differently. Always ask questions and never limit yourself to fit in.

This sculpture is made using hand cut copper and brass. I have also etched, oxidized and painted the metal to create this piece.

The piece is mounted on wood and measures 15” x 12” x 1.75”

I chose to use the Luna moth in this piece because it is a powerful metaphor for transformation. Its physical stages of development are a profound representation of growth, change and rebirth. Because the luna moth is a nocturnal creature it is often associated with intuition, dreams and the subconscious mind. The short life span of the moth is believed to encourage us to appreciate the present and find beauty in the temporary.

Mystical death and rebirth have been part of numerous cultures throughout history. These myths can often convey a psychological metaphor for individual transformation, where death signifies the dissolution of the old self and rebirth represents the emergence of a more enlightened being.

This piece is made using copper, brass, acrylic paint and 6mm cubic zirconia gemstones.

The piece measures 23” x 19” x 1”

I chose to use the Luna moth in this piece because it is a powerful metaphor for transformation. Its physical stages of development are a profound representation of growth, change and rebirth. Because the luna moth is a nocturnal creature it is often associated with intuition, dreams and the subconscious mind. The short life span of the moth is believed to encourage us to appreciate the present and find beauty in the temporary.

The piece is made using copper, acrylic paint, 6mm cubic zirconia gemstones and canvas.

   This piece is part of a series that attempts to explore the delicate balance between the physical and metaphysical worlds, where the tangible and intangible coexist in a dynamic, often unseen, dialogue. In creating these pieces, I draw from the intersection of science, spirituality, and human experience, investigating how the material world shapes, defines, and limits our understanding of the immaterial forces that govern existence.

Through various media—whether it be painting, sculpture, or mixed media—I strive to visualize the invisible threads that bind us to a higher order, from energy fields to emotional currents. I am fascinated by the tension between what can be physically perceived and the deeper, often unexplainable forces that influence our lives. My work challenges the viewer to reconsider the boundaries of reality, questioning where the physical ends and the metaphysical begins. This piece is made utilizing traditional jewelry making techniques combined with painting.

This pice is made using brass, copper, white topaz gemstones and acrylic paint. I have hand cut, soldered, flush set the gemstones as well as hammered to create texture and used acrylic paint to add color.
